Poem; Plumage thoughts

Stop where you’re going and just shake your feathers out,
I’m here to help, and not to shout.
I know how you feel and I know you’re  in stress,
But I’ve been through this.
Heck, I’ve been through a mess.
But smiling helps, it always has,
A gaze at the moon, or a walk in the grass,
But when your walking, look up at the sky.
Don’t wonder what, I’ll tell you why.
I’m under it too,
Just like you,
So think before you fly.

Crow Drama!

On upon reading “The faults in our stars” by the amazing John Green while basking in the new Irish sun, I looked up to see three crows casually sitting on top of my basket ball net. None of them facing me. As the one to the very right took a step right, he/she began to slide down it and eventually resulting in it falling off, nevertheless birds can fly and he flew away.
The middle one then attempted to move towards the one on his/her (but assumably his) left side. The left crow gave off a loud squak to tell the middle crow he was not wanted, and tje crow backed off. Backed off so much that he too started to slide down the basketball hoop.

Not ashamed to say I fully laughed out loud at what was going on, but by the time I had my camera out, they all had flew away.

C’mon pigeon love…

C'mon pigeon love...

So for the past month or so, I’ve been noticing how these two pigeons are ALWAYS together around my house. Eating together, wandering together, doing other casual pigeon stuff together, and I just thought…isn’t that cute? I know pigeons have this vermin name for themselves, but if you saw these two, you’d change your mind. The just follow each other everywhere.

Just thought I’d share that…

I love my cute dog.

So we’ve this cat, (don’t worry, my title’s not misleading) and well it belongs to someone, we just don’t know who. She’s very cute and playful and called Oreo. Now, sometimes Oreo just likes to chill beside the basketball hoop base. For ages we had no idea why, but one day I copped on that it was a stalking place with a view of our bird house. Now we actually own a dog, a cross of a labrador and pointer named Mel. She’s ten this year and usually chases after cats, but for some reason not Oreo. We’ve no idea why, probably because Oreo doesn’t run from her and they’re both just awkwardly standing there. The cat even came into our house one day, and Mel wasn’t overly fazed by her.
But today, Mel was barking at the cat outside. Thinking this was unusual I went over to her and knelt beside her looking out our french doors. Mel wasn’t barking at Oreo chillin’ at the basketball hoop base, she was barking to warn the birds who were about to be pounced on by Oreo. I just thought that was adorably cute and wanted to share.
